News from Rainbows!

News from Rainbows!

Welcome to our February e-newsletter, hope you’ve got a few minutes spare to catch up with some of our news this month.

It’s hard to believe but it was just over a year ago when work started on our new build. If you get chance take a look at progress in less than a minute by following this link:-
http://www.rainbows.co.uk/the-build/building-for-the-future-time-lapse-video to see a time lapse sequence of the build. The additional bedrooms are now complete and the refurbishment of the existing bedrooms is underway. The therapy wing, which is the last stage of the project, is scheduled to be completed late Spring – weather permitting!

Thank you to everybody that took part in the Christmas Chart scheme, we have so far raised over £5,000 with monies still coming in. Can I give a gentle reminder to those of you that took part and still have money to send in – please do, every penny counts!

Big Effort for Rainbows

Big Effort for Rainbows

Fine teamwork from marketing group Big Communications, Fuse Digital and Spark raised over £5,300 for Rainbows.

A whole host of fun events were held including quizzes, an auction of promises, bring & buy sales and a Grand National sweepstake. Staff throughout the group made monthly donations from their salaries, plus a few brave souls even completed a half marathon and a walk of life.

More fundraising events for Rainbows are planned for 2010.

All six staff of Loughborough firm Brockhurst Davies Limited Chartered Accountants undertook the Seagrave Wolds Challenge Walk in aid of Rainbows. This is a 15.7 mile walk over the Leicestershire Wolds.

The day was wet, windy and muddy which added to the challenge. They completed the course in 5 hours and 44 minutes (fuelled by the en route cake stops) and raised over £2,500.
